The Creative Reset

A quiet creative retreat for interior designers

Algarve, Portugal · 5 days · max. 8 participant

A quiet, intentional space designed for rest, reflection and creative clarity. A setting where space, rhythm and beauty invite new ideas to emerge.

Not burned out. Just full.

The Creative Reset is an intimate retreat for interior designers who feel mentally full, creatively stretched, or simply in need of space.

Not because something is wrong. Not because you're burned out. But because when you care deeply about your work, life has a way of filling every corner.

Between clients, ideas, responsibilities and constant input, something quietly disappears: space. Space to think. Space to feel. Space to create without purpose or pressure.

This retreat is a pause, held in a beautiful, natural setting. Not to escape what you do, but to return to it with more calm, clarity and presence.

Your eye is your instrument

Here is something we believe about your work.

A chef eats at other people's restaurants.

A photographer studies other people's light. But a designer who only runs from deadline to deadline slowly draws down the well her whole craft depends on, even when every project still looks fine from the outside.

The Creative Reset is that maintenance.

Not a holiday. Not wellness. The kind of professional care you take because of how seriously you take your work, not in spite of it.

You sell taste.

Your eye for texture, light, proportion and atmosphere is the instrument your entire practice rests on. And like any instrument, it needs maintenance.

Who this is for

This retreat is for you if:

  • You work as an interior designer, stylist, or in a closely related visual or spatial field

  • You care deeply about aesthetics, atmosphere and thoughtful design

  • You feel mentally busy, creatively scattered, or overstimulated, even if your work is going well

  • You crave time without deadlines, outcomes or performance

  • You want to return home feeling grounded, clear and creatively present again

You don't need fixing. You don't need motivation. You need room.

And who it's not for. This may not be the right fit if you're looking for business strategies or productivity systems, if you want a packed schedule with constant group activities, if you expect concrete deliverables, or if quiet, unstructured time makes you uncomfortable. The Creative Reset is intentionally slow, spacious and gentle. That's the point.

Eight people who don't need an explanation.

There is one thing about this retreat we can't put in a brochure photo, and it might be the most valuable part.

Eight interior designers at one table, with no networking, no pitching, no performing. Conversations with people who understand your rhythm, your world and your love for beautiful things, without you having to explain any of it.

If you run your own practice, you know how rare that is.

The place

The retreat takes place at A Conquista, a beautifully wild, nature-rich property in the Algarve. Surrounded by open skies, soft light and nature, it's a place that immediately invites you to slow down.

There's a pool, quiet outdoor spaces, and a dome where we gather for a few gentle moments together. Nothing flashy. Nothing overdesigned. Just an environment that supports stillness, presence and beauty.

How the days unfold

There is no strict schedule and no pressure to participate in everything. Each day has one gentle anchor and plenty of space around it.

Evenings are shared if you want them to be

Conversations over dinner that unfold naturally, without facilitation.

Silence is welcome

Alone time is respected. Nothing is mandatory.

Mornings start slowly

There's time to sit, think, journal, sketch, or simply be quiet. On some days we gather for a reflective or creative session. One day is dedicated to exploring the local area: a village or market where inspiration comes from texture, colour and rhythm rather than screens.

Rest & Regulation

During the retreat, we include one or two gentle breath-based sessions in the dome. Nothing intense, nothing performative: just simple practices to help your body slow down and reset.

If you'd like more physical care, there is the option to book an in-house massage. This is entirely optional and arranged separately. Choice and autonomy are part of the experience.

I had an excellent experience! The service was outstanding.

Happy client

Hosted by two sisters

The Creative Reset is hosted by two sisters: one holding the creative and programmatic side of the retreat, the other holding the space itself. She lives on the property and knows every quiet corner of it.

Kelly, who curates the programme, is a work and organizational psychologist with a long-standing love for interiors, craftsmanship and considered spaces (you may know her work through The Global Decor). Which is a formal way of saying: she understands both why your head is full and why the right room can empty it.

This allows the experience to feel both carefully curated and deeply cared for, with attention to atmosphere, rhythm and detail throughout your stay.

What you'll leave with

Most people don't leave with a plan. They leave with something more useful.

A quieter mind. A more grounded body. Creative clarity that feels natural, not forced.

And a full well five days of texture, light, colour and material that will quietly feed your projects for months. You may come home with a sketchbook nobody asked for: the first thing you've made in years that wasn't for a client. Or you may come home with nothing in your hands at all, and notice the difference the first time you look at your own work again.

A few honest questions

Will I have to share or open up?

No. Nothing is mandatory. You don't have to share, perform, create or explain yourself. Silence and alone time are fully respected.

I'm not an interior designer. Can I still join?

The retreat is built for interior designers and stylists, with a small number of places for closely aligned visual professionals. If you're unsure whether that's you, join the waitlist and mention it. We'd rather have the right eight people than a full house.

Will I be bored?

Unlikely. Between the place, the materials, the conversations and the local excursion, inspiration tends to unfold on its own. But if you spend an entire afternoon doing nothing by the pool, that's the retreat working, not failing.

What if I need to cancel?

Payments are non-refundable, which is why we recommend travel insurance. If we can fill your place from the waitlist, we'll always try to find a fair solution.

Can I book this as a business expense?

Most participants do. You'll receive a proper invoice. (Details on VAT will be confirmed before booking opens.)

Where can I learn more about you?

You can explore other sections of this website, such as the "About Us" page or our blog, to learn more about our company, mission, and team.

Join the waitlist

The Creative Reset is intentionally small and carefully curated. If this resonates, even quietly, you're warmly invited to join the waitlist.

You'll be the first to receive dates, the full room overview and early confirmation pricing. Joining the waitlist doesn't commit you to anything.

A pause that doesn't ask anything of you. A place to breathe, slow down and remember why you create.
